Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can be useful for identifying recurrent negative thought patterns, themes of mental concerns, defensive structures, and styles of thinking that may lead to inner conflicts, depression, anxiety, among a variety of mental wellness issues, and diminish inner peace. Thoughts are things, and can be very powerful in influencing negative mental processes and behaviors. Like the physical body, the mind requires attention and intention toward better health. Characteristics of a healthy mind include being mentally flexible and adaptable. Through CBT, there is opportunity to gain awareness of thought processes, and help establish healthier thinking. When thoughts change in a positive way, mental health and quality of life can also improve.
Dr. Ben Allen has used this process to help his clients feel empowered in their thinking abilities by means of self-awareness and the mental and cognitive reframe. This is an approach that requires active effort toward healing thoughts, empowering the spirit within, and creating intentional behaviors that support healing goals.
